Deus Ex Machina Perth - Visiting the new venue

As a Perth based Car & Motorcycle photographer I was excited to hear that industry heavyweights Deus Ex Machina were coming to Perth later in the year so I caught up with Geoff Miller, Managing Director of the new Deus Ex Machina Perth Venue, last week to have a look around the recently acquired premises.

Situated in North Fremantle in the old Church that once housed lengendary WA surfer Len Dibben's board-shaping shop, the building suits the Deus Ex Machina (God from the Machine) theme perfectly.

The building is currently gutted and being prepared for the signature Deus vision by non other than Carby Tuckwell, the creative mind behind Deus Ex Machina's iconic style. Meeting Carby was a true privilege and his presence in WA shows how serious Deus Ex Machina are about this new venue and as a rider myself, I cannot wait to see the place transformed.

Joe's BMW featured in Cafe Racer Magazine Issue #7

As a Perth based car and motorcycle photographer I am passionate about capturing the essence of each vehicle I shoot. This is the second bike of Joe's that I have shot, and the second to be featured in Cafe Racer Magazine which is an immense honour.

This is Joe's second BMW, and started life as a humble R100R and has been set up with a swathe of daily-rider aimed upgrades to the suspension and brakes, along with Joe's Signature attention-to-detail cosmetically.

Joe's Moto Guzzi featureD in Cafe Racer Magazine

As a Perth car and motorcycle photographer I am lucky to meet some many talented and passionate individuals. Joe is one such guy, taking time out from a hectic work schedule he put together a trio of exquisite machines that are a feast for the eyes at every level.

This is his stunning 1000SP which was recently featured in Cafe Racer Magazine issue 6 where you can find full details on the build.

Vintage Harley Davidson Collection - BTS

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a local Harley Davidson collector who has just completed his collection after 30 painstaking years of part-sourcing, building and restoration work. I was absolutely delighted to be able to help him capture these machines so he may forever have a momento of his achievements.

The shoot took place in an empty warehouse, and took over 12 hours to complete with individual shots of all 10 bikes, and then numerous group arrangements of the collection. Altogether I captured 37gb worth of photos and while I'm busy preparing those for delivery, I thought I would share some behind the scenes with you all.

More to come!
